There is no account to delete. NEON HALO has no accounts and no servers of ours — your progress is a file on your phone. Depending on what you want removed, there are three routes, and two of them you can do yourself right now.
Step 1 — Your save file, settings and progress
You can do this yourself · takes effect immediately
Everything the game remembers — best height, lifetime statistics, unlocked chassis, salvaged alloy, gear stash, settings — is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Deleting it is immediate and needs no request:
- Open Settings → General → iPhone Storage → NEON HALO and tap Delete App, or
- hold the game’s icon on the Home Screen and choose Remove App → Delete App.
Offloading the app is not the same thing. iOS offers Offload App right beside Delete App, and it deliberately keeps the app’s data so that reinstalling picks up where you left off. Only Delete App removes your save.
Deleting removes it permanently. We hold no copy — it was never sent to us, so there is nothing on our side to delete and nothing we could restore.
If you signed in to Game Center, a copy of your progress may also exist in your iCloud account. Deleting the app does not touch it — remove it with Step 2 below.
Step 2 — Leaderboard score, nickname, achievements and cloud save
Only if you signed in to Game Center · you can do this yourself
Signing in to Game Center is optional, and none of this section applies if you declined. If you did sign in, your best height, your Game Center nickname, your unlocked achievements and the cloud copy of your save are held by Apple, not by us.
The cloud save is filed in your iCloud account, which is where you delete it:
- Open Settings and tap [your name] at the top.
- Go to iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
- Pick NEON HALO from the list and choose Delete Documents & Data.
That removes it from every device signed in to the same Apple Account. It does not touch the save on the phone — Step 1 does that — and signing out of Game Center stops the game using the cloud copy at all.
Your Game Center profile itself — the nickname, and whether your scores and achievements are visible to other players — is under Settings → [your name] → Game Center. To ask Apple to erase the data it holds against your Apple Account, use Apple’s Data and Privacy portal.
We cannot delete any of this for you: we never receive your email address, your real name or your Apple Account, only the opaque per-game player ID Apple issues, so we have no way to find or remove your entry.
Step 3 — Crash reports
Email us · we reply within 30 days
When the game crashes, a diagnostic report goes to Sentry, our crash reporting provider. To request deletion of crash reports:
- Email anton@adamsen.io with the subject “Data deletion request — NEON HALO”.
- Include anything that helps us find the report: roughly when the crash happened, your device model, and the app version (Settings → DIAGNOSTICS in the game).
We will delete any report we can identify from what you give us, and reply to tell you what we found. Crash reports carry no name, email or account, so there is often nothing that ties one to a particular person — if we cannot identify a report as yours, we will say so plainly rather than guess. Every crash report is deleted automatically after 90 days in any case.
What is deleted, what is kept
| Data | Held by | How it is deleted | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Save file, statistics and settings | Your device | Step 1 — delete the app (offloading keeps it) | Deleted immediately; never held by us |
| Leaderboard score, nickname, achievements | Apple Game Center | Step 2 — Game Center settings, or Apple’s Data and Privacy portal | Kept by Apple until you delete it; we cannot |
| Cloud save — your progress, not your settings (only if you signed in) | Your own iCloud account, via Game Center saved games | Step 2 — iCloud storage settings | Kept by Apple until you delete it; we cannot |
| Crash reports (error, device model, OS version, app version) | Sentry, on our behalf | Step 3 — email request | Deleted automatically after 90 days regardless |
| Purchase record for the game | Apple App Store | Not deletable — Apple keeps it as a record of sale | Per Apple’s retention, in your Apple Account |
There is nothing else. We operate no backend and hold no database of players, so beyond the crash reports above there is no account, profile or record of you on our side to delete. We never collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera input, or location.
